I appreciate your feedback about your 2026 intentions! Loved reading your private messages and comments on the last FB post. Here are some beautiful concepts that showed up in your responses:
Balance
Acceptance
Grace
Reflection
Invite
Relax
Presence
Communication
Love it! And as promised - here are my intentions for 2026: Witness and Flow.
I want to spend more time just observing and appreciating (myself, others, nature, relationships, etc.) instead of judging and/or trying to insert control. I just want to go with the flow. 😉
So all of this has been perfect to help me frame the theme for our Contemplative Yoga classes in January. Who knows - maybe the theme will extend for the quarter. But here it is:
Grounded Fluidity
Sounds a little like verbal hodge podge. 😆 But hear me out. So, many of your intentions (and mine) invite that sense of flow, fluidity, flexibility. In order to be accepting and offer grace, we sure can’t be rigid. To relax and be inviting, we have to soften and be smooth around the edges.
However, many of your intentions also require purposeful attention that starts with being grounded. In order to effectively communicate, we need a focal point. Reflection calls for awareness. And presence requires just that - the ability to direct our attention where we purposefully want it to go.
It’s kind of like a beautiful, flowing river.
In a healthy river, the water desires to flow, needs to flow. It wants to effortlessly make its way over rocks and through tree limbs and other obstacles. However, without the sturdy banks - the flow would no longer be possible. The water would lose its direction, just spread thinner and thinner until it dissipates.
That’s what we will be inviting this month in our Contemplative Yoga classes - the ability to effortlessly flow, but with purpose, and direction, created by loving boundaries.
Grounded Fluidity.
So come join us! Wednesdays at either 10:00am or 5:30pm.
I have all the props you’ll need. Just dress comfortably.
